The Doylestown Division of the AOH has been active in supporting three local food pantries since 2007. We purchase food at local supermarkets Weiss or Giant and average spending $5000-6000 per delivery. We try to deliver twice a year to (A women’s place, St. John’s in Ottsville, The United Church, formally The 1st Baptist Church of New Britain, and St.
Jude, Chalfont food Pantry) We stopped during Covid-19 but have started again. Our brothers led by Sean McArdle, meet in the back of the supermarkets on Saturdays around 7:30 am. We usually have 15-20 brothers show up to help. It takes about one and half hours to complete the entire process.
